The alloy C276 is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in HAZ, so it is suitable for most chemical process applications in welding conditions. ASTM Hastelloy C276 also has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900°F.
