Aerosol Generator: Includes salt particulate aerosol generators and oil particulate aerosol generators, used to generate the aerosol particles required for the test.
Classifier: Utilizes the principle of inertia to collect unwanted large particles into a collection bottle, ensuring that the aerosol particles entering the testing system meet the requirements.
Particle Counter: Usually equipped with two units, used to measure the number or mass concentration of aerosols upstream and downstream of the filter media, and is a key device for calculating filtration efficiency. Some systems may use a laser scattering photometer instead of a particle counter.
Static Neutralization Device: Neutralizes the static electricity carried by the aerosols, reducing particle loss and the influence of static electricity on the test results.
Differential Pressure Sensor: Monitors the pressure drop across the filter media, assessing changes in resistance during the filtration process.
Flow Meter: Monitors the flow rate during the test, ensuring consistency of test conditions. Flow meters are typically 2.5 grade accurate, ranging from 10-100 L/min.
Vacuum pump: Provides the necessary negative pressure environment to ensure aerosol particles can smoothly enter the testing system.
Pneumatic clamps and protective devices: Employ pneumatic clamping, offering convenient operation and high safety, while also featuring protective devices to ensure safe use.
Programmable logic controller (PLC) and touchscreen: Enables automated control of the testing process, including control, monitoring, calculation, and data display functions. Some devices utilize a PLC control system and are equipped with a 7-inch color touchscreen.
Instruction manual and power cord: Provides an operation guide and power connection instructions to ensure users can correctly operate the equipment.
Test Procedures
Operating Procedures:
First: Prepare the accessories and test sample;
Turn on the instrument and enter the LCD screen operating interface;
Perform a no-load test first;
Press the dual-control pneumatic keys on both sides to lower the clamp;
Set the airflow rate and aerosol particle parameters;
After the data stabilizes, proceed to the next step;
Obtain the amount of aerosol upstream of the filter media;
Once the data stabilizes, a "Place Clamp" dialog box will pop up on the screen;
Place the prepared sample into the instrument clamp and clamp it securely;
Start the test;
Wait a few seconds to obtain the amount of aerosol downstream of the filter media and calculate the filtration efficiency;
The instrument will automatically print out the test report;
Remove the sample;
After the test, turn off the instrument and evaluate the filtration performance of the material based on the test data results.
