Titanium carbide powder has excellent chemical stability. It is insoluble in common acids and bases such as water, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, and only corrodes slowly in hydrofluoric acid and hot concentrated sulfuric acid. When stored in a sealed container, its shelf life can reach more than 5 years without caking or deteriorating.
