85000 two-dimensional ultrasonic wind speed sensor
The 85000 two-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer produced by RM YOUNG has a very wide working range, and the volume is small, easy to install, and low power consumption. The output of the sensor has both analog output and digital output. The 85000 wind measurement is based on the transmission time of ultrasonic pulses between the four transmitters. Because the air flow changes the transmission time, the wind speed is calculated by calculating the transmission time. The wind direction is calculated by the relative wind speed along the path of each sound.

The measurement result is analog voltage output or serial port output, the serial port output is RS-232, RS-485. The serial port output can be directly connected to the Wind Tracker monitor of RM Young, as well as the DataLogger, and ASCII serial port communication.
The operating parameters are selected through a simple setting procedure. All the settings of the 85000 are stored in the non-volatile memory inside the sensor.
The structural material of the sensor is composed of UV-resistant thermoplastic, stainless steel, and anodized aluminum, which has a very strong resistance to harsh environments. It is very easy to install on a standard 1-inch tube, and a ferrule with a direction notch can ensure that the installation position of the sensor will not change.
