XLPE insulated cable/cable xlpe insulated(also called XLPE insulated wire) features a plain annealed twisted and sold circular copper conductor with XLPE insulation and PVC out sheath, we supply a full range of low voltage 0.6/1kv from one core to five cores. The cross linked polyethylene wireis widely used in the net power systems and power distribution and transmitting. We can make the XLPE insulated power cable according to IEC 60502, BS 7889 and AS/NZS 5000.

What is XLPE Cable?
XLPE cable is the cable with XLPE insulation. XLPE refers to the crosslinked polyethylene which adopts the method of peroxide crosslinking and makes polyethylene molecules change from linear molecular structure to three-dimensional mesh structure, from thermoplastic material to thermosetting material, and the working temperature is increased from 70℃ to 90℃, which significantly improves the current carrying capacity of the cable.

XLPE Insulated Cable Standards And Design Solution
AS/NZS 5000.1 refers to the XLPE insulated PVC sheathed cable in Australia and New Zealand market. The cables structure is similar to IEC standard IEC 60502 and China national standard GB/T 12706. They all have the structure of multi-cores with the same size (such as 4 cores XPLE insulated PVC sheathed cables) and multi-cores + earth (such as 3cores+2 earth XLPE insulated power cable).
BS7889 refers to the XLPE insulated PVC sheathed cable in British standard. The just only have multi-cores with the same size
It can be mounted with steel wire or steel taped armors to increase the mechanic protection and withstand the tensile force. It also can be designed for fire resistance by wrapping the mica glass tape.
