Micronized wax provides abrasion resistance and printability in printing ink formulations. Gloss and slip properties are also key considerations when selecting wax powders. In coating formulations, wax powders are used to enhance scratch resistance and abrasion resistance. The recoatability, slip properties, gloss retention or matting properties, transparency, and overall surface performance of wax powders are important.
