BlackGlobe-thermal stress temperature sensor
Under defined thermal stress, physical and mental efficiency will be reduced, and in severe cases fatigue, exhaustion, and possibly disability or death. The wet bulb black bulb temperature (WBGT) index combines the effects of temperature, humidity, thermal radiation, and wind to generate an index that represents the thermal stress of the environment. The black ball temperature sensor used to measure thermal stress uses a thermistor inserted into a black 6-inch hollow copper ball to measure the radiation temperature. The values measured with the ambient air and wet bulb temperature instruments are used to calculate the wet bulb black bulb temperature index. Thermal stress can be reduced by reducing the time exposed to thermal stress and reducing the workload of people under high temperature stress. Factors such as the type of dressing, the type of work performed, the effects of mental stress and the availability of fluids also affect the assessment of thermal stress. These factors are not easy to quantify, so individuals in a given state must evaluate their significance. For assessing thermal stress, environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and wind are easy to measure.
