5TM soil moisture temperature sensor
The soil moisture measurement is a dielectric sensor, which measures the change in capacitance on the sensor to measure the dielectric constant or permittivity of the inserted medium. Another type of dielectric sensor, TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer), is very expensive and complicated, and its large-scale use is limited. Since the dielectric constant of water is very high, when the moisture content of the soil changes, the dielectric constant of the soil also changes considerably. The 5TM sensor circuit can minimize the influence of temperature changes on the measurement. The soil temperature is measured by the thermistor built into the sensor.
