Campbell 229 soil water potential sensor
Campbell 229 soil water potential sensor can measure soil water potential data from 0.1 to 10 bars. Because the speed of temperature change is related to the dry and wet state of the soil, 229 is to measure the change of soil temperature first, and then apply the second-order polynomial equation to obtain the change of soil water potential. The sensor shell is made of epoxy resin, which contains heater and T-type thermocouple. The heating function needs to be used in conjunction with the CE4 or CE8 current excitation module to provide a stable current. CE4 can support up to four 229-type sensors, while CE8 can support eight 229-type sensors. At the same time, CE4 or CE8 must be connected to an AM16/32B expansion board, which can be connected to more than 8 229 sensors.
