Turmeric Extract

Turmeric extract comes from the dried rhizome of Curcuma longa L., a ginger plant. Its main active component is curcumin, a yellow-orange, bitter powder available as 95% liposoluble or 10% water-soluble forms. Turmeric, a bright yellow powder from mature roots, has a long history in food coloring, cosmetics, and medicine. Curcumin has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antifungal properties, is non-toxic to humans, and reduces post-surgical inflammation and blood clot formation.
