What is nervonic acid?
Nervonic Acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid, also known as Cis-15- Tatracosanic Acid and selacholeic acid. It is an “advanced nutrient” necessary for the growth and redevelopment of nerve cells, especially brain cells, optic nerve cells, and peripheral nerves, as well as for the maintenance of physiological functions.
Neuronic acid significantly lowers blood lipids, reduces blood viscosity, inhibits platelet coagulation, and increases HDL. It is the core natural component of nerve fibers and nerve cells in the brain. A deficiency of nervonic acid will cause stroke sequelae, senile dementia, cerebral palsy, brain atrophy, memory loss, insomnia, forgetfulness, and other brain diseases.
