Thepassiveentryandpassivestartsystemprovideseasierandsaferaccesstothevehicle.Thetraditionalmechanicalandwirelesskeysarereplacedbythe“passivekey(orsmartkey)”,whichallowsthedrivertounlockthecarwithouttouchingthekey,andstart/stoptheenginebypushingtheignitionbutton.
