Ultrasonic sensors convert ultrasonic signals into other energy signals usually electrical signals, and have the dual functions of transmitting and receiving sound waves. At present, piezoelectric ultrasonic sensors are commonly used in automotives. Its key component is a piezoelectric wafer in a plastic or metal shell. The ultrasonic sensor composed of piezoelectric crystals is a reversible sensor. It can convert electrical energy into mechanical oscillations to generate ultrasonic waves. At the same time, when it receives ultrasonic waves, it can also convert into electricity. It has the characteristics of high frequency, short wavelength, small diffraction phenomenon, especially good directionality, which can become a ray and propagate in a direction.

What Are Symptoms For Fail Ultrasonic Sensor?
Ultrasonic sensors are safety aid that work when reversing or parking, which make parking and reversing safer and more convenient. If the following faults occur, you can perform fault diagnosis for troubleshooting.
Fault phenomenon: After the reverse gear is engaged or the radar switch is pressed, the parking assist system does not respond.
Fault diagnosis: ① The working power supply and grounding circuit of the parking assist system are not bright. ② The parking ultrasonic sensorsystem is not activated. A common cause of failure is that the parking aid conditions are not met, that is, the vehicle is in parked or towed mode. ③ Factors such as road conditions and parking environment.
Fault phenomenon: When using the parking function, the ultrasonic system prompts a fault.
Troubleshooting: ① The probe is faulty or the line from the probe to the controller is abnormal. ②There is no calibration after replacing the new controller or probe.
