DETAILS OF LITHIUM NIOBATE CRYSTAL POLISHING SLURRY
Lithium niobate is a ferroelectric with the highest Curie temperature found so far. It is a negative crystal. This mechanism of lithium niobate and lithium tantalate makes them good piezoelectric energy exchangers and optical materials. The optical properties and research of lithium niobate crystals mainly focus on the visible and infrared bands.
Due to the high demand of its application, the surface of lithium niobate wafer often needs to undergo precise machining to obtain good surface characteristics.
For the final polishing process, Kona developed a nano precision polishing slurrybased on silica abrasive, which provides the surface of lithium niobate wafer a good smoothness, finish and brightness.
