Spike

Drip Chamber
Allows healthcare workers to monitor and regulate the drip rate.
Prevents air from entering the bloodstream.
Tubing
Flexible, medical-grade PVC tubing that transports fluid from the container to the patient.
Roller Clamp or Slide Clamp
Used to adjust or stop the flow rate of the IV fluid.
Injection Port or Y-site
Allows additional medications to be injected into the line when needed.
Luer Connector
Connects the infusion tubing to the IV cannula or needle.
Protective Cap
