Application introduction FR 1045 is a unique organophosphorus compound intended for use as a flame retardant additive in polyester, plastics materials. It can be used in both thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers but is particularly useful in thermoplastic polyesters and thermoplastic polyurethanes, such as PET and PBT in automotive/transportation, in laminates and adhesives, and in engineering plastics for E&E applications.
