Titanium dioxide pigment usesin paint coating is divided into anatase type TiO2 paint and rutile type tio2 white pigmentin paint, according to international practice, known as R type and A type respectively. Rutile type and anatase type without post-treatment are called RI type and AI type respectively. The treated rutile type and anatase type are called R2, R3 and A2 type respectively. The rutile titanium dioxide in paint industryare mostly belong to R2 and R3 type, R2 type sales accounted for more than 70%. R2 and R3 accounted for 77% and 22%, respectively, of rutile titanium dioxide in coatings.
