Sodium diethyldithiocarbamate, also known as DDTC sodium salt or ethyl thioamine, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C5H10NNaS2. It is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, and acetone, but insoluble in ether and benzene. It is mainly used as a sensitive reagent for copper, and can also be used for the determination of zinc, cobalt, platinum, and palladium.
