Dehydration of liposomes（like lait liposomal）can cause the transition from liquid crystal state to gel state of phospholipids, and rehydration of dried liposomes can also be accompanied by transition from gel state to liquid crystal state, both of which can cause leakage of liposome contents, particle size increasing and the transition from single-chamber to multi-chambers. Therefore, it is very important to select a suitable lyoprotectant to reduce or eliminate the damage to liposomes caused by the lyophilization process.
