When beer wastewater is dumped untreated into public waters, it can lead to the growth of plants, algae and bacteria, which can cause oxygen levels to drop and eventually lead to eutrophication, making the water unfit for most aquatic life.
There are two optionsfor the breweryto treattheir wastewater in order to avoid punitive measures, wastewaterdischarges tothe localmunicipal wastewater treatment plantor the brewery could install a treatment system for its process wastewater. The perfect solution is the brewerybuild up their own wastewater treatmentsystem, which will allow the breweryto reuse thetreated waterand save a lot of money. the result of this is a brewery that has avoided punitive actions from the local municipality, while choosing an environment-friendly option.
