Spandexa synthetic fiber which is known for its elasticity. It is made up of a long chain polymer called polyurethane, which is produced by reacting a polyester with a diisocyanate. The elasticity and strength (stretching up to five times its length), of spandex fiberhas been incorporated into a wide range of garments, especially in skin-tight garments.
