single phase inverter
A is an electronic device that converts DC (direct current) power into AC (alternating current) power in a single-phase electrical system. This type of inverter is commonly used in residential and small commercial applications, such as solar power systems, uninterruptible power supplies, and motor drives.
The basic principle of operation of a single-phase inverter involves switching the DC input voltage using a high-frequency electronic switch, such as a MOSFET or IGBT, to produce an AC output voltage waveform. The switch is controlled by a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal that varies the width of the pulses to regulate the output voltage.
Since the Senergy Power Optimiser handles maximum power point tracking and voltage management for each solar module individually, the single-phase inverter is responsible for the DC to AC inversion. It is therefore a simpler, more cost-efficient and more reliable solar inverter. The fixed string voltage ensures that operation is always at maximum efficiency, independent of string length and temperature.
In addition to its function as a DC-optimised PV inverter, the single-phase inverter also manages the system energy as part of the Senergy solution.
