Capacitive Touch Display
consist of a display and a touchpad. Controls are usually already integrated. Some people refer to the capacitive touch screen panel as a touch pad. In any case, it involves the possibility of making inputs in a larger area in order to read outputs or display the keyboard and inputs or outputs at the same time.
How does a capacitive touch display work?
Capacitive touch display consist of a thin layer of conductive material, such as copper or indium tin oxide (ITO), printed on the underside of the insulating outer layer of the display. When a finger touches the screen, a small charge is attracted to the point of contact, effectively turning it into a functional capacitor. The resulting change in the electrostatic field is then measured to pinpoint where the contact occurs.
Types of Capacitive Touch Screens
There are two main types of capacitive touch screen technology: projected and surface.
Surface capacitive is the more basic of the two technologies, with an insulator coated with a conductive layer on only one side.
