Titanium Basket Details
The titanium mesh basket mainly consists of three parts: titanium mesh plate, titanium plate, and hook. Titanium mesh baskets come in various forms, including circular, rectangular, dished, etc. They can also be specially designed according to product requirements.
Titanium anode baskets for electroplatingare usually used in conjunction with anode bags. Anode bags are generally made of polyester or polypropylene that are resistant to acid and alkali corrosion or oxidation and are placed outside the titanium mesh basket to prevent impurities such as anode sludge from mixing into the tank. Sometimes, in order to more effectively prevent anode sludge and prevent burrs from the coating, a double-layer anode bag can be used. When using a double-layer bag, the inner bag should be tightly wrapped and the outer bag should be loose, Anode bags generally have characteristics such as good corrosion resistance, good wear resistance, and good elasticity.
Characteristics and Uses of Titanium Basket
In the electroplating industry, titanium baskets are used for nickel plating and acid copper plating production. Titanium mesh baskets can withstand the corrosion of fluoroboric acid and have good corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄), boric acid (H₃BO₃), hydrochloric acid (HCl), and their salt solutions.
The titanium basket is made of GR2 industrial pure titanium, with a purity of up to 99.7% and strong corrosion resistance. It is suitable for loading and unloading anode materials in various electroplating tanks. Precision welding technology is used, and the welded joints are tightly and firmly bonded. The titanium mesh basket for electroplating can be anti-theft designed at the opening of the titanium basket according to customer requirements.
Precautions for using titanium mesh baskets: The opening of the titanium mesh basket should be slightly higher than the liquid level to prevent the outflow of anode slag. The lower end of the titanium basket should be 100-150mm higher than the part to avoid excessive concentration of current in the lower part, causing burning. The titanium basket should be in close contact with the anode, otherwise the anode potential inside the titanium basket will sharply increase, causing oxygen and chlorine evolution reactions on the surface of the titanium basket, causing damage to the titanium basket and oxidation of additives.
