PLASTIC BUNG
Plastic barrel bung plugshas different sizes and thread designs to meet varied sealing requirements of steel drums and plastic drums. Steel drum requires plastic barrel plugswith fine thread, and it needs to follow the same standard as steel drum plug. Plastic drums usually require 2'' and 3/4'' NPT or 2'' NPS or 2'' buttress plastic bungs.
Most common raw mateial for plastic drum plugis PP, and nylon material is made for flammable and explosive proof purpose. Type of gasket used is determined by contents within the drums. There are high temperature, chemical, oil resistant gaskets that come with the plastic bungs.

Varied in size and design, buttress platic bung needs to be selected according to HDPE drum design.
How to use Plastic Bung
It is necessary to understand the neck mouth type and filers in tight head steel drum or plastic drum, and figure out whats is the suitable thread and gasket of the plastic bung choice for your drum. Any improper factor will reduce sealing performance.
Drum wrench needs to be used while screwing the drum plug, applying proper torque assures the contents is well secured.
Metal drum cap seal or plastic drum capsseal needs to be installed, aiming at double securing the inner contents as well as the neck mouth.
