Calcium carbonate is a white fine crystalline powder, tasteless and odorless. There are two forms, amorphous and crystalline. Crystal type can be divided into rhombic and hexagonal crystal systems (anhydrous calcium carbonate is a colorless rhombic crystal, hexahedrons calcium carbonate is a colorless monoclinic crystal), is columnar or rhomboid, the density of 2.93g/cm3. The melting point is 1339℃ (decomposed at 825-896.6℃) and 1289℃ at 10.7MPa. Insoluble in alcohol, soluble in ammonium chloride solution, and almost insoluble in water. Recently, a customer in Kazakhstan, who operates a factory producing door and window profiles, purchased light calcium carbonate from us.
