BOC-L-GLU(ME)-OME

As a standard Boc-protected glutamate derivative, BOC-L-GLU(ME)-OME is a key raw material for solid-phase / liquid-phase peptide synthesis. Its α-amino group is protected by the Boc group, and both carboxyl groups are methylated. This allows for precise control of the reaction site and avoids side reactions.
When synthesizing peptides containing glutamic acid residues (such as neuropeptides, antimicrobial peptides, enzyme inhibitors), BOC-L-GLU(ME)-OME serves as the direct donor of the glutamic acid unit and is incorporated into the peptide chain through a condensation reaction. Subsequently, Boc can be selectively removed or the methyl group can be removed to achieve side-chain functionalization. This compound has good stability and excellent solubility, is suitable for conventional peptide synthesis conditions, significantly simplifies the synthesis route of peptides containing glutamic acid, and improves the purity and yield of the product.
