Urbach

This ancient national product of the Caucasus appeared approximately in the eighteenth century. Women rubbed hot flax seed with manual millstones, getting a thick and oily paste. It is this highly nutritious and healthy dish received in the Avar language the name urba ‘ground Flaxseed’ or ‘URBECH’.
