Tundish Upper Nozzle Tundish Upper Nozzle with ZrO2 Insert Tundish Refractories
The upper nozzles features high refractoriness, good anti-clogging, superior resistance to thermal shock, and resistance to erosion/corrosion. The upper nozzles, together with stopper rods can improve the tundish casting sequences significantly. The Tundish Porous Upper Nozzle products including quick-change type and normal type. The replacement of SEN may be done during casting when using quick change porous upper nozzles, and longer tundish casting sequence is obtained. With the quick change practice, the average service life of tundish for slab casting can be increased many folds. Stopper rod system is normally used in tundish for slab and bloom casting. The casting stream speed could be controlled through changing the space between stopper rod and tundish nozzle. During the casting, there will be some erosion to the stopper and upper nozzle. So the quality of the upper nozzle is very important to tundish life.
