PIR (Passive Infrared Detector) are used to detect motion object like human movement. All the PIR sensor must work with Fresnel Lens, this version can detetc more than 8 meters.

PIR sensors are excellent in human and animal detection. They are mostly used in triggering an intruder alarm and activate household appliances upon the presence of a human.
The pir D203Ssensoris called passive because it doesn't emit light to get measurements. The D203Spir sensor datasheetis actually split into two parts. The reason for that is to measure motion. The pir D2035sensor is also sensitive enough to even detect IR radiation source movement while the object is already in it's field of view.Changes in IR energy are not easily detected through glass.
