Cold Capable Bally Flex Tester

1. Function and Application The 12-Station Cold Capable Bally Flex Tester is designed to evaluate the flexural fatigue resistance of leather, composites, vinyl, surface finishes, and other materials under both ambient and sub-zero conditions. Up to 12 specimens are folded and clamped between fixed lower clamps and oscillating upper clamps. Each cycle flexes a crease in the specimen, simulating the natural folding and bending a shoe upper or similar material undergoes during use, to assess its propensity to crack. The integrated freezer system allows testing at temperatures down to -30°C, making this instrument suitable for cold-capable flex testing applications. 2. Applicable Standards ASTM D6182 BS 3144: Method 13 DIN 53351 EN ISO 5402 TSL 5101G Sec. 3.14.1 3.
