The newly developed DFP 3000 compressed air filter test bench provides fully automated measurement of the fractionation efficiency of compressed air filters at overpressures up to 7 bar, offering better results than the process described in ISO 12500. Additional filter funnels are also available upon request for plate media. Fractionation efficiency can be measured using the new Promo® 3000 P aerosol spectrometer, equipped with a pressure-resistant Welas® aerosol sensor for measuring both feed and clean gases. This system offers the following advantages (and others):
• Clear determination of particle size and concentration directly at overpressures up to 10 bar
• Automatic adjustment of sampling volumetric flow rate in response to pressure changes
• No disperser or dilution required
The DFP 3000 can be equipped with three different aerosol generators:
• For measuring oil fractionation efficiency: PLG 3000
• For feed testing with short oil feed times: AGF 3000
• For solid particle testing up to 3 bar: RBG 1000 D
Highly automated test sequence setup, along with clearly defined individual components and individually adjustable sequence programs in the FTControl filter testing software, provides highly reliable measurement results.
All air volumetric flow rates and overpressures in the system are automatically monitored and adjusted. Results are presented and analyzed in detailed tables and graphs.
