Test Principle
The Flame Spread Calorimeter simulates fire conditions by applying thermal radiation to the test sample. The heater system provides 30 kW/m² of radiative heat, simulating fire conditions. Precise sensors monitor critical parameters in real time, including heat release rate, flame spread speed, and flame spread index. Thermocouples, the weighing system, and gas analyzers work in tandem to record and quantify combustion heat, flame propagation, and other performance indicators, generating detailed test reports.
Operation Instructions
Sample preparation: Fix the test sample to the designated test frame, ensuring correct positioning.
Device setup: Set appropriate gas flow and heating power according to material characteristics and start the testing system.
Testing process: The heater applies thermal radiation to the sample while recording flame spread and heat release data.
Data analysis: Upon completion, software automatically analyzes data and generates flame spread index and other relevant test results.
Post-test cleanup: Shut down the system and clean the equipment to prepare for subsequent tests.
