The 5th Percentile Female SAE Butt Form is meticulously derived from the NHTSA Hybrid III Fifth Percentile Female Anthropomorphic Test Device (ATD), ensuring a high degree of accuracy for testing applications. Anthropomorphic Test Device Dummy – Pelvis and Legs

H2 Anthropomorphic Test Device Dummy – Pelvis and legs is the perfect form for ingress / egress seat testing. It has all closed joints and two lower thigh hard mounting points for externally activating the legs. And, it is available for either rental or purchase from our inventory.

We can also repair and/or rebuild your existing manikin. We also offer a trade-in credit for your old manikin once the soft joints have split apart or the internal foam has broken down.

These Manikins need to be periodically tested for overuse and fatigue.

The ISO 5353 Fixture is a Seat Index Point Tool (SIPT)

The ISO 5353 SIPT is universally used in place of the J1163. which has some differences in contour.

The SAE J1163 standard states that it is applicable to seats designed for off-road, self-propelled machines for agriculture and forestry as defined in ISO 3339-0. The SIP can be determined on a seat by itself or with the seat located in its operating environment. The ISO 5353 standard is applicable to seats designed for earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165. and tractors and machinery. In both standards, the SIPT is a single-piece rigid buttock and thigh shell with a weight of 6 kg, without torso or legs. Weights are added to 40 mm forward of the SIP, bringing the total weight up to 65 kg, which is intended to represent the seat-borne weight of a midsize-male occupant. In these standards, the only measurement taken on the SIPT is the SIP and its location is often given relative to another reference point on the seat called a “fixing point,” interpreted as a mounting bolt or other designated reference feature.

J826 Adjustable Ballast Dummy Frame

The J826 Adjustable Ballast Dummy Frame supports the use of, one SAE J826 Back Form and one J826 Butt Form, with a pivot joint at the H-point.

The adjustable angle is controlled with a turnbuckle. The H-point pin and turnbuckle pin are removable. The bottom fixture and torso centerline have multiple shaft locations for additional weights to be added.

Adjustable Ballast Dummy Frame Features:

Mechanical components are constructed of non-corrosive Aluminum and Stainless Steel Pivoting fixture utilizes turnbuckle to adjust angle Base weight of fixture is approximately 65 lbs.

JM50/J826 Butt Form with Heat and Sweat Function (Ford ST-0809)

Introducing the lightweight, aluminum Heated and Sweat Japanese Male 50th Percentile Butt Form (JM50/J826), a cutting-edge body form designed with advanced heat and sweat functionality, in accordance with Ford test specification ST-0809 (sections 5.6.2 and 5.6.3). This innovative product includes:

JSAE Adjustable Ballast Dummy

JSAE Adjustable Ballast Dummy is constructed of one SAE JSAE Back Form and one JSAE Butt Form, with a pivot joint at the H-point.

The Nissan Condition “B” Butt Form is made of cast aluminum and can be provided with mounting holes, or fixtures to meet specific testing needs. This form is suitable for use with our Jounce machines (with, or without squirm), IFD (UTM) machines, or other applications.

Nissan Test Form for NDS 3-3-1 & 3-3-2

The Nissan Test Form for NDS 3-3-1 & 3-3-2 is designed in accordance with Nissan specification NDS section 3-3-1. and 3-3-2. It is constructed with a hardwood core and features a 10 mm thick slab of urethane foam covering and a denim cloth wrap (old wash type jeans; corresponding to Levi’s 501’s).The form is supplied with an aluminum back plate for mounting to your specific tester.

SAE J1454 Compliant Off Road Butt Form

SAE J1454 Compliant Off Road Butt Form is made of machined aluminum and can be provided with mounting holes, or fixtures to meet specific testing needs. The SAE J1454 Compliant Off Road Butt Form is suitable for use with our Jounce machines (with, or without squirm), IFD (UTM) machines, or other applications.

SAE J826 Butt Form with Rolled Hips

The SAE J826 Butt Form with Rolled Hips is in compliance with the American FMVSS, SAE J826 standard, and made of cast aluminum.

They are available with or without mounting brackets at an additional cost. These forms can be used in conjunction with other physical test systems such as Jounce, Ingress/Egress, IFD/ILD, and Fatigue Testers.

SAE J826 Compliant Back Form

SAE J826 Compliant Back Form conform to American standards for dimension, and are cast aluminum so that they are light weight. Brackets for mounting these forms are available either fixed or movable joints. The mounting holes and designed to match all of our seat testing equipment including 202a, FMVSS testers, fatigue, sequencer, Ingress/Egress, IFD, or Jounce Testers.

SAE J826 Compliant Butt Form

SAE J826 Compliant Butt Form conform to American standards for dimension, and are cast aluminum so that they are light weight. Brackets for mounting these forms are available either fixed or movable joints. The mounting holes and designed to match all of our seat testing equipment including 202a, FMVSS testers, fatigue, sequencer, Ingress/Egress, IFD, or Jounce Testers.

Also incorporated in these forms is the H-Point location, which is identified in the casting for positive location in your test set-up. This configuration does NOT have the rolled hips, which may be required for some special tests. Please see our SAE J826 Butt Form with Rolled Hips.

SAE J826 Swivel Mounting Bracket

The SAE J826 Swivel Mounting Bracket will to attach to any SAE J826 form, and is used in Jounce, Ingress/Egress, UTM/IFD, and another fatigue testing equipment.

When attached to the SAE J826 Butt Form, the U-joint will pivot at the H-point. The form will NOT be in a fixed position while the test is underway but will swivel on the joint as the forces direct.

It is constructed of welded Solid Steel and has been painted.

Torso Block Positioning Aid

The Torso Block Positioning Aid is designed by NHTSA, and is used to ensure a repeatable and consistent starting position for the Torso Body Block.

The pelvic block (Type “A”, Type “B”), is placed on the seat. The Torso Positioning Aid is placed on the pelvic block and the torso block is positioned on the aid. Once preload is reached, the positioning aid is removed.

In addition to helping with accurate torso block positioning, it is also proven to reduce the number of technicians needed for setup. Without the aid, two technicians are needed. With the aid, one technician is needed.

Type A Body Block

Type A Body Block is is made of machined aluminum in our manufacturing facility. We have designed this body block for reduced weight without compromising strength or durability. It comes with appropriate mounting points for Static Load testing.

The contact surface is covered by 1″ (25.4mm) medium density canvas covered foam rubber. For ease of maintenance, cotton duck canvas covers are laced for easy tightening, removal and replacement. Cover kits are available separately.

Our body blocks are designed for use with Static Load Testers. They conform to tests FMVSS 210. FMVSS 207. and ECE R14. The Type B pelvic body block may be substituted for the Type A pelvic body block to apply the specified force to the center set(s) of anchorages for any group of 3 or more sets of anchorages that are simultaneously loaded.

Body blocks can be purchased with customer specified modifications as a stand-alone item. Body blocks can also be painted for company brand matching for an additional cost.

Type B Body Block

Type B Body Block is is made of machined aluminum in our manufacturing facility. We have designed this body block for reduced weight without compromising strength or durability. It comes with appropriate mounting points for Static Load testing.
