Test Procedures
1. Equipment Calibration
Before beginning a high-irradiance run, verify the xenon lamp's spectral output using a calibrated radiometer. Ensure the water cooling system is operating with deionized water of the correct conductivity.
2. Sample Loading
Mount your test specimens into the holders. Place them on the rotating rack, ensuring they are evenly spaced. If testing fewer than 54 samples, use blank plates to maintain the aerodynamics of the chamber.
3. Cycle Programming
Define your test protocol via the touch-screen interface. For ultra-accelerated tests, set the irradiance to $180text{W/m}^2$ and configure the corresponding BPT and humidity values. Select the spray intervals (front, rear, or dual) based on your target climate.
4. Test Initiation and Monitoring
Start the test and monitor the stability of the arc. The SX75 automatically adjusts the lamp power to compensate for aging. Regularly check the BPT and RH logs to ensure the chamber is operating within the specified $pm 1^circtext{C}$ and $pm 5%text{ RH}$ tolerances.
5. Evaluation
Upon completion, the system safely shuts down the lamp and cools the chamber. Remove your samples and perform visual, mechanical, or colorimetric assessments to determine the degree of degradation.
