EUS endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS) is an advanced medical equipment that integrates ultrasound and endoscopy. It installs a miniature high-frequency ultrasound probe at the front end of the endoscope. What is EUS Needle?
Endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy uses a thin biopsy needle with the guidance of endoscopic ultrasound to perform aspiration biopsy of the corresponding lesion through the endoscopic biopsy tunnel. Through the biopsy, the cytological and histological diagnosis of the diseased tissue can be obtained, so as to clarify the disease and provide a basis for subsequent diagnosis and treatment.
Why EUS Is Performed?

This small probe can approach the lesion, and the probe frequency is greatly increased, so that the image resolution is significantly improved. Therefore, endoscopic ultrasonography has a good diagnostic and therapeutic value for esophagus and stomach protruding lesions.
What To Prepare EUS?
Smoking is forbidden on the first day so as not to affect the intubation; smoking ban can also reduce gastric acid secretion, which is convenient for doctors to observe.
The patient should have an empty stomach for at least 6 hours before the examination.
