Carbon Arc Aging Chamber
Carbon arc aging chamber is mainly used to simulate the destructive effects of ultraviolet rays, temperature, humidity and other factors in natural climate on materials, and accelerate the aging process of materials through the radiation generated by carbon arc lamps. It is often used in industries such as plastics, rubber, and coatings to help evaluate the aging resistance of materials in order to improve product quality and extend service life.
Working principle:
Using a carbon arc lamp as a radiation source, it can produce radiation similar to ultraviolet rays in sunlight. At the same time, it can also control the temperature and humidity in the box, simulate natural environmental conditions, and allow the material to undergo a long-term natural aging effect in a short period of time.
Structural composition:
The main body is a sealed test box with a sample rack inside for placing the material to be tested; equipped with a carbon arc lamp and related optical systems; it also has components such as a temperature and humidity control system and a ventilation system.
Application areas:
In the plastics industry, it can test the discoloration, embrittlement and other aging conditions of plastics; in the rubber industry, it can evaluate the elasticity and strength changes of rubber products; in the coatings industry, it can detect fading, powdering and other problems of the coating.
