High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a white powder or granular product. Its hardness, tensile strength and creep are better than low-density polyethylene. Its features are as the following: good wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness and cold resistance, toxic, tasteless, and good chemical stability. At room temperature, it is insoluble in an organic solvent and also resistant to corrosion by acids, alkalis and various salts. The film has low permeability to water vapor and air as well as low water absorption.
