Steel fiber reinforced concrete(SFRC) is a kind of heart-shaped composite material with excellent performance and wide application. Steel fiber retards the crack development of matrix concrete, which makes it tensile and flexural. Compared with ordinary concrete, the shear strength is significantly improved, and its impact resistance, fatigue resistance, toughness, and durability after cracking are also greatly improved. In recent 20 years, a lot of research has been done on the mechanical and structural properties of steel fiber reinforced concrete at home and abroad, and it has been applied to variousteel_fiber_for_concrete_reinforcement.pngs projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, water conservancy, oceans, buildings, and refractory structures.
Reinforcement effect of steel fiber in concrete, The main function of short fibers randomly distributed by steel fibers in concrete is to hinder the propagation of micro-cracks in the concrete and to retard the occurrence and development of macro-cracks. Therefore, it can obviously improve its tensile strength and shear, bending, and torsional strength mainly controlled by principal tensile stress. When the fiber content (volume ratio) is in the range of 1%-2%, the tensile strength increases by 25%-50%, the bending strength increases by 40%-80%, and the shear strength measured by direct double-sided shear test increases by 50%-100%. Compressive strength increases slightly, generally between 0-25%.
