As H13 air-quench-hardening hot work die steel imported from the United States, 4Cr5MoSiV1 is representative steel grade with a wide range of uses in hot work die steel. Its properties and uses are basically the same as that of 4Cr5MoSiV steel. The applied standard is GB/T1299-2000.

Features of 4Cr5MoSiV1 Steel
The steel can withstand great thermal stress caused by repeated heating and cooling, without cracks in the surface layer。
The steel can withstand huge mechanical stress, as well as the impact and erosion of liquid metal flow.
Because of higher vanadium content, the steel’s strength, toughness and thermal fatigue resistance and wear resistance in medium temperature (600 degrees) are better than that of 4Cr5MoSiV steel. Meanwhile, it has a small oxidation tendency and thermal deformation after air quenching.
