Intestinal Stents
The application of intestinal stent in the treatment of colorectal cancer obstruction is mainly divided into temporary transitional placement and palliative treatment. The transitional placement of intestinal stents can replace colostomy, perform adequate bowel decompression, relieve obstructive symptoms, and restore the local and systemic pathophysiological state of the intestine of patients with obstructive left colorectal cancer or close to non-obstructive state then choose the first-stage laparoscopic surgery for simple colorectal cancer to reduce surgical complications and mortality, avoid secondary surgical trauma, increase survival rate, and improve patient quality of life.
