Advantages of infrared thermal imaging technology

On dark nights, visible-light-based surveillance equipment is no longer working properly, and if artificial lighting is used, it is easy to expose targets. If a low-light-level night vision device is used, it also works in the visible light band, and still requires external faint light illumination. The remote surveillance camera outdoorpassively accepts the targets own infrared heat radiation, which works well both day and night, and does not expose itself. Even in harsh weather conditions such as rain and fog, due to the short wavelength of visible light, the ability to overcome obstacles is poor, so the observation effect is poor, but the wavelength of infrared rays is long, especially for thermal imagers operating at 8~14um. The ability to overcome rain and fog is high, so the target can still be observed normally. Therefore, at night, especially in harsh weather conditions, infrared thermal imaging monitoring equipment can be used to monitor various targets such as people and vehicles.
