Vacuum Circuit Breaker
Side-mounted indoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker : Vacuum circuit breakers are typically categorized into multiple voltage ratings, with low-voltage types commonly used in explosion-proof electrical applications, such as coal mines. They can achieve a rated current of up to 5000A and an interrupting current of up to 50kA, representing a high level of performance, and have been developed to reach voltage ratings of up to 35kV. Characteristics of vacuum circuit breakers include: 1、Lightweight structure with a small contact opening distance (only 10mm for 10kV ratings), rapid actuation, easy operation, small size, and light weight. 2、Short arc duration, as the contacts are in a vacuum, essentially eliminating arcing. Small arcs are typically extinguished within half a cycle (0.01 seconds), earning them the name "half-cycle breakers," and this is independent of current magnitude. 3、Rapid recovery of the dielectric strength in the contact gap. 4、Long service life. 5、Minimal maintenance requirements and fire and explosion protection capabilities.
