TEV Protease
TEV Protease (Tobacco Etch Virus protease) is a commonly used protein purification tool enzyme widely applied in biological research. It can specifically recognize and cleave fusion proteins containing the ENLYFQ↓S/G sequence, thereby removing the tag protein from fusion proteins to obtain pure target proteins. It is ideal for recombinant protein expression and purification, and widely applied in structural biology and protein-related research.
Applicable Scenarios:
Protein engineering and functional validation in basic biological research; tag removal and intermediate purification in antibody drug and vaccine development; customized protein cleavage
Product Advantages:
Compatible with a wide range of pH values and buffers; high cleavage efficiency and specificity.
- Extreme Condition Stability: Tolerates high concentrations of imidazole (e.g., Ni column elution conditions) and various salts (e.g., NaCl, KCl), eliminating the need for additional purification steps and enabling compatibility with complex buffer systems.
- Broad Temperature Activity Range: Maintains high catalytic efficiency across 4–37°C, suitable for diverse experimental scenarios (e.g., gentle cleavage at low temperatures or rapid reactions at ambient conditions), ensuring operational flexibility.
- Precise and Efficient Cleavage: Exclusively targets the ENLYFQG site without nonspecific side reactions, preserving the integrity of the target protein.
Extremely high recognition specificity: Only recognizes and cleaves ENLYFQ↓S/G sequence, no non-specific cleavage
Removal process simple: Molecular weight approximately 27–28.3 kDa, easily removed by affinity chromatography
Mild reaction conditions: Work temperature range wide (4°C–30°C), protects sensitive target protein activity
