UV light ozone vs non ozone
UV disinfection lamps will generally divide into two types, UVC light with ozone and UVC light ozone free.
The principle of ordinary UV disinfection lamp is UV-C direct irradiation of bacteria and viruses caused by their death, belongs to the physical disinfection, and UV-C wavelength is very short, so the penetration ability is relatively weak. When encounter complex space, it is easy to disinfection dead space, so besides ozone free uv lamp, some UV line disinfection lamp will add ozone function.

Is Ozone From Uv Lamp Harmful?

Do Germicidal Lamps Produce Ozone?
UVC germicidal lamps produce ozone because of the short wavelength of 200nm below the wavelength of the UVC can break down O₂ molecules, the resulting O* and O₂ combined to produce ozone O₃. UVC lamps do not necessarily produce ozone, the formation of ozone is mainly determined by the spectrum of the UVC lamp, namely 254 nm and 185 nm two. Among them, 254 nm is the ozone-free band UV and only 185 nm is the ozone-free band UV.
