Paper water absorption tester
Introduction:
Paper water absorption tester, also known as Kleim test instrument, is suitable for the determination of the capillary suction height of unsized paper and paperboard, and is mostly used in paper manufacturers and quality inspection centers.
Standard:
QB/T1662. GB/T 461.1. ISO8787
Principle:
Take a vertically suspended sample, soak its lower end in human water, measure the capillary suction height after a certain period of time, in order to judge the water absorption of paper or cardboard, suction time according to the characteristics of the product to choose.
Advantages:
Measures Internal Water Absorption: Specifically evaluates capillary water rise, a key property for unsized and absorbent papers.
Standard Compliant (Klemm Method): Operates according to established national and international standards for capillary water absorption testing.
Simultaneous Testing: Capable of testing multiple samples at the same time, improving efficiency.
Simple and Direct Measurement: The test principle and measurement of rise height are straightforward.
Suitable for Quality Control: Provides a reliable method for monitoring the water absorption characteristics of unsized paper and board during production.
Features:
A stand or rack designed to vertically suspend multiple paper strip samples.
A water bath or trough positioned at the base of the stand to immerse the lower end of the samples in water.
Clips or clamps to hold the upper end of the paper samples securely on the stand.
Integrated ruler or scale located alongside the suspended samples for measuring the height of water rise.
Capability to measure a specific number of samples simultaneously (The number of samples measured at the same time: 10).
Includes a specific number of scales (Number of scales: 5), potentially indicating multiple measurement points or duplicate scales for convenience.
Designed for use under specified environmental conditions (temperature and humidity).
Parameters:
Measuring range: 5-200mm
Sample size: 250×15mm
Grading value: 1mm
The number of samples was measured at the same time: 10
Number of scales: 5
Environmental requirements: Temperature: 23±2 ° C, humidity: 50±5%RH
Standard configuration:
Paper water absorption tester host, ruler
