Fabric Drying Tester
The Fabric Drying Tester is an automatic testing instrument developed for evaluating fabric “dryness” in accordance with Method A and Method B of JIS L 1096 (Testing Methods for Woven and Knitted Fabrics).
The system automates traditionally time-consuming manual procedures by allowing up to three fabric samples to be tested simultaneously. Once samples are mounted, the device automatically records drying behavior, stores data digitally, and stops the test according to the selected time-setting mode or drying recognition mode, with an audible end-of-test alarm.
In addition to conventional “dryness after washing” evaluation, the instrument is widely used to measure sweat evaporation and moisture diffusion behavior after liquid penetration into fabrics. It is also suitable for R&D applications focusing on moisture retention and moisturizing materials, which require opposite performance to quick-drying textiles.
