Test Procedures
(1) Mount the wire sample of specified length in the clamp at a 45° angle for vertical testing.
(2) Set the burner to the required flame parameters and activate automatic ignition.
(3) Expose the sample to the vertical flame for 15 s while monitoring temperature.
(4) For horizontal testing, mount the sample in the JIS3005 horizontal fixture.
(5) Apply the horizontal flame for 30 s.
(6) Observe and record the flame behavior, charring, and any combustion events.
(7) After completion, activate the exhaust system to remove residual gases.
