Attention to accessing samples from liquid nitrogen
The temperature of liquid nitrogen is as low as -196 degrees Celsius, which can easily cause damage to the sample or personnel if the sample is not accessed properly.
Access to samples should be noted that
1、Do not seal the mouth of the Dewar bottle. The Dewar bottle is equipped with a professional stopper, which should not be mixed with other stoppers to avoid the danger caused by the continuous evaporation of liquid nitrogen.
2, regularly check the height of the liquid nitrogen, timely replenishment of liquid nitrogen, the amount of liquid nitrogen will be low enough to maintain the temperature inside the Dewar bottle can not maintain the low temperature, may lead to sample damage.
3、Do not put the Dewar bottle in a closed space for storage to avoid asphyxiation caused by the volatilization of nitrogen.
4、Access the sample to do a good job of personal protection to prevent frostbite.
5、Don't take out the liquid nitrogen tank directly from the bucket or basket when taking out, you can put the liquid nitrogen in the position of the bottle mouth and take it out after cleaning.
6、If accessing frozen sperm, transfer to another Dewar's bottle within three seconds when transferring, otherwise it may affect the sperm activity.
