Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) has good crack resistance, low shrinkage, good waterproof and anti-seepage properties, and can be used for pavement and waterproof layers of expressways.
For example, the bridge deck pavement of Jingwuhuang Expressway in Jiangxi Province adopts an 8cm thick shotcrete steel fibreconcrete waterproof layer, which has achieved a good anti-seepage effect. Compared with welded steel mesh, it has the advantages of simple process, convenient construction, and low cost.
